Hey everybody .. my name is Jim and I'm a catechist in southeastern Wisconsin. Also working on a masters degree in Lay Ministry. I'm a dad of seven ranging from one not walking yet to a still fairly green driver. Self employed techie who spends most of his free time working with young people as a soccer coach and referee, a past scout leader (still doing merit badge counseling), Vacation Bible School teacher, Junior Achievement volunteer and well.. if it has to do with kids, it's pretty hard for me to say know.
I am an adult convert (early 80s .. not so good....), but have felt called in the past few years .. still discerning what that call is, but enjoying the journey. I'm always on the lookout for teaching and sharing material. Looks like I may be doing a series of talks for the parish on devotions starting next fall. I teach the second graders now and enjoy helping them prepare for their first Reconciliation and Eucharist but see a gap in the enrichment offerings for adults. My own prayer life got jump started with traditional devotions and I hope to pass on the spark!!
Happy to be here .. wonderful resources available from Loyola Press...
