I've read everyone's introductions, and I'm glad to join the group. I've never participated in a forum before, seeing established ones as so massive that I don't know where to jump in. I'm looking forward to starting in at the ground floor.
I am a stay at home Mom of 5, (four natural born and 1 nephew.) I'm getting to the end of my stay at home time as my youngest has entered Kindergarten. I'm very nervous and excited about the upcoming life changes.
I teach first grade religious education on Monday nights (so my kids call it Monday school), and am having a blast. One of the biggest challenges I'm facing now is realizing how much I don't know and answering all the questions of the adults who see me now as the expert on all things Catholic. It sure is keeping me on my toes.

You have made me smile. What you say is so true, stepping into the role of a teacher comes with assumptions from other people that we must be "experts"... my favorite line is "That's a great question for Father Joe"... or pull out my Catechism of the Catholic Church(CCC) and find it together. I believe its all in there somewhere.

Thanks and i hope to build some positive relationships here where I can also learn.

I teach first grade CCD too. I'm constantly learning new things with my students and I this is my 11th year teaching first graders. Welcome to the forum!
