This is my eleventh year teaching first grade CCD at our parish. I love it and I hope my students enjoy it as much as I do. I am very active in our church which is on a military base (we are civilians) and I enjoy meeting new people. Hubby teaches 6th grade and our son is his teen helper so we have the whole family helping to spread the word.

All I can say is God Love you and Bless you!
I only half jokingly tell people that 1st graders scare me.
I had to teach a 1st grade class one year and I love them individually ( I have a 1st grader myself and it is a delightful age) but I don't seem to have the gift for getting down to their level. Give me jr. and Sr. high kids any day. I believe it takes a special gift to work with the little ones!

LOL! That's what I say about the Kindergarten and Pre K classes! They scare me! I don't know what those teachers do to keep them busy for a whole class time. I would be pulling my hair out. LOL! Now the older kids also scare me because I have the feeling they would ask me a question that I couldn't answer.
